There Was a Time When You Didn’t Know Them
On love, separation, adaptation and the care we take when allowing someone into our lives.
A space for women · Dakar & online
Ev’Elles is a space for women who are evolving, questioning, building, beginning again, or simply discovering that they want something different from life.
A place to reflect on who we are, question what we’ve inherited and consciously participate in who we’re becoming.
About Ev’Elles
Marriage. Motherhood. Career. Ambition. Love. Loss. Success. Failure. Faith. Starting over.
Life changes us.
Sometimes through extraordinary experiences. Sometimes through the ordinary accumulation of years, relationships, responsibilities, choices and expectations.
And sometimes, nothing dramatic happens at all. We simply wake up one day and realise that the woman we are today is not quite the woman we were yesterday.
That doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong. It means we are evolving.
Ev’Elles exists to create space for the questions that emerge along the way.
Who am I now?
What do I genuinely want?
Which beliefs are mine, and which have I inherited?
What am I holding on to because it is familiar?
What would I choose if I stopped living according to expectations I never consciously agreed to?
We don’t believe women need another set of instructions about who they should be.
We believe they deserve the space, tools and conversations to discover that for themselves.
The three pillars
Understanding before changing.
Examine the experiences, beliefs, relationships, patterns and expectations shaping your life.
Ask better questions. Develop the ability to distinguish what happened from the stories you’ve constructed around it.
Taking ownership of your story.
Reclaim your voice, choices, desires, boundaries and personal authority.
Recognise what belongs to you, what belongs to others and what you are ready to change. Accountability without unnecessary self-blame.
Choosing what comes next.
Turn reflection into intentional action. Not necessarily by becoming someone entirely new, but by making conscious choices about how you want to live, love, work, lead and grow.
Reinvention is not always starting over. Sometimes it is finally giving yourself permission to continue differently.
The Ev’Elles method · For women who want to go deeper
The Sovereignty Spiral
Personal growth rarely follows a straight line. We revisit familiar questions at different stages of our lives, often with greater understanding and new perspectives.
La Spirale de Souveraineté™ provides a structured framework for deeper personal exploration.
Identify what is happening and the patterns influencing your choices.
Explore where your beliefs, behaviours and expectations originated.
Examine uncomfortable truths with honesty, compassion and accountability.
Develop new perspectives, choices, boundaries and ways of responding.
Exercise conscious authority over your decisions while recognising what remains outside your control.
This framework supports deeper personal development. It is not therapy and does not replace clinical mental-health care.

The founder
Fama Seck is a writer, entrepreneur, mother and endlessly curious woman who has spent much of her life questioning the stories we inherit about who we are supposed to be.
Born in Paris, shaped by more than fifteen years in London and now living in Dakar, her life has crossed cultures, careers, motherhood, marriage and divorce, faith, loss, reinvention and entrepreneurship. She has built businesses, worked across banking, transformation and sales operations, started again more than once, and discovered that becoming is rarely a straight line.
Ev’Elles grew from that experience, but also from a question that continues to shape Fama’s own life: how much of the woman we become is consciously chosen, and how much have we simply inherited, absorbed or learned to perform?
She created Ev’Elles as a space where women can explore those questions without being told who they should become. A place for honest conversation, curiosity and reflection; for challenging what no longer fits, reclaiming what does, and participating more consciously in the lives we are creating.
Fama does not position herself as a woman who has figured everything out. She is in the process too.
And perhaps that is the point.
We are always becoming.
